My name is Kamorah Graham. I am taking dual English 101, dual Math112, and the J-Steam course Art130. These courses guide me to fulfilling my only purpose. I have made it so far to where I have dropped classes, taken on more than I can chew, and made plenty more sacrifices. I am taking up to four dual enrollment classes to graduate. Using these courses is my only chance to succeed. My family, teachers, and friends are my only encouragement to move forward. And without the grace of God, I would not be where I am today. I had so many reasons to give up, but I had to keep going because I told myself that if I started something, I should finish it. My whole life, all I ever did was start something and never finish it. So, this is my only chance to break that cycle. Not only do I want to pursue this goal with my academics, but I also want to pursue this in my career. I have wanted to be a psychotherapist or psychiatrist for as long as I can remember. Both focus on mental health therapy. This is something I have experienced at such a young age. Overcoming this obstacle was challenging to handle by myself. I had the worst mindset and wanted to do everything independently, which deteriorated my mental and physical health. So, I want to be the one to help those who are struggling with their life challenges. I want to be a guide for them and show them a better path. If I cannot get to everyone, I will get to those who wish to better themselves. To reach my goals, I must pursue a 6–8-year college education, beginning in Fall 2023. I am prepared for my future, and with the opportunity, your scholarship will provide, I am another step closer to accomplishing success.
