Alabama man barbecues to raise awareness for his missing son DeAngelo “Dee” Allen.

Bookie Allen of Calhoun County the father of Miss and 31-year-okd has decided to take to the grill to keep his mind in a better place. MAWH PRODUCTIONS spoke with Mr. Allen about what his purpose for Taken to the grill is. I woke up in a very dark place, to keep my mind occupied I decided to grill Boston butts. Cook always makes me feel better, it is something that I love to do said Mr. Allen. Anyone who knows me knows that I love to cook. This has been like a nightmare that I would not wish on my worst enemy. They are many families out there dealing with same or similar experiences.

When I decided to barbecue I did not realize the overwhelming support that I would get from my community. Hundreds of orders started to come in. All of the proceeds will go to bringing awareness to what has happened, and to help my family and DEES children. Mr. Allen went on to say that his wish is to create a foundation that helps families deal with the challenges that come along with having a child missing. If you or someone you know is interested I am still taking orders. The rain has slowed me down but I have made a commitment it may take me a little longer to get all of the orders out but I am a man of my word. I will not stop until all of the orders are for field. To place an order all you have to do is reach out to me on Facebook.

DeAngelo "Dee" Allen, has been missing since September 21, 2022. When our family was unable to make contact or locate Dee, we reached out to the Anniston Police Department for assistance. The police department would not do a missing person alert which forced our family to search for Dee on our own. Our family is in desperate need of answers regarding his disappearance. DeAngelo has 4 children that miss him very much.

DeAngelo is a 31 years old, Black man. He has brown eyes, black hair and many tattoos including a cross on his eye and a rose on his neck. He is 6 feet tall and between 175-190 pounds. He was last seen on Sept. 21, 2022, at the 1000 block of Old Coldwater Road in Anniston, Alabama. DeAngelo has not used his phone, money, or social media since his disappearance.

Anniston Police Department requests that anyone with information regarding DeAngelo's location contact Investigator Chris Cunningham or leave an anonymous tip with Crimestoppers.

Your support during this time means the world to my family and me.
